The Saxon Boutique Hotel, Villas and Spa is a boutique hotel located in the tranquil suburb of Sandhurst, in the heart of the city for world class shopping and business access. The Saxon's contemporary African interior is light, airy and specious, leaving a lasting impression of stately elegance interspersed with novel Eastern influences and African artifacts.

Originally designed in 1990 as a private residence for Douw Steyn, one of South Africa's leading captains of commerce, the Saxon is a quiet retreat from the outside world that offers panoramic views over the indigenous gardens towards the city skyline beyond.

The crème de la crème is the addition of three new villas nestling in the lush indigenous gardens, comprising individual suites tastefully decorated with natural woods, silks and sustainable weaves. Each Villa has its own private terrace and heated plunge pool and two of the Villas also have a private spa suite. The three villas add an additional 29 suites to the existing 24 suites.

Villa One is a one-story with seven interconnecting Vila Suites in contemporary open-plan style. Villa Two and Three are two-story structures, each featuring seven interconnecting Villa Suites on the ground floor levels. A raised sykwalk leading to the main entrance of the Saxon offers intriguing treetop views over the gardens. Each villa has a private lift to transfer guests from the underground parking garage.

SAXON BOUTIQUE HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

Egoli Suites: 20 (80m2/861sq. ft.)

Luxuriously furnished with tasteful African elegance, the Egoli Suites exude an atmosphere of tranquility. The world's finest linens, a lounge and dining area, a full business desk, and latticed shutters opening to views over the indigenous gardens and city skyline, meet and exceed our guests' expectations of our boutique hotel.

Presidential Suites: 3 (200 meters squared)

There are 3 palatial Presidential Suites, each with its own entrance hall, guest bathroom, and separate lounge and dining area opening onto a balcony, as well as a fully equipped butler's kitchen. Each suite features a comfortable designated lounge, in-room dining area and workstation.

Platinum Suite: 1 x 2 Bedroom Suite (400 meters squared/4305 sq. ft.)

The Nelson Mandela Platinum Suite is situated on the first floor. The suite is reached by a private glass-enclosed elevator. The luxuriously appointed bathroom, complete with Jacuzzi and steam room, flows open plan from the bedroom with shutters for privacy. This distinctive signature suite is designed and furnished to meet and exceed the expectations of the most discerning visiting members of Royalty, Heads of State, dignitaries and international celebrities.

SAXON VILLAS ACCOMMODATION

Villa Suites: 21 (80 meters squared/861 sq. ft.)

With the finest silks, linens and sustainable weaves adding a sense of quiet retreat, the villa suites are your home away from home. Decorated in more contemporary African Style than the Saxon Boutique Hotel, the Villa Suites feature natural textures such as stone cladding and light and dark wood furniture. Situated on the ground floor, the villa suites each have a private deck leading out into the indigenous gardens. The bedrooms have a quiet seating area and fully equipped workstation.

Villa Presidential Suites: 8 (200 meters squared/2152 sq. ft.)

Villa Two and Three each have four Villa Presidential Suites located on the upper levels. Each Presidential Suite has its own entrance, guest bathroom, and separate lounge and dining area opening on to the balcony, as well as a fully equipped butler's kitchen. Each suite features a comfortable designed lounge, in-room dining area and workstation.

Villa Platinum Suites: (400 meters squared/4304 sq. ft.)

The eight Presidential Suites can be converted into four 2-bedroom Platinum Suites. The Villa Platinum Suites are luxurious, each boasting two spacious lounges with dining areas and two bedroom suites well appointed contemporary bathrooms. Each distinctive suite is fully equipped with two butler's kitchens, and a business area with state-of-the-art electronics and information technology.
