Generous courtyards, ponds and living areas that open up to the landscape beyond embrace the surrounding bush, inviting it into the spacious interiors. Large sliding windows give a sense of space and light. Beds are positioned to face the waking bush but there's no need to jump out of bed early - with a dedicated game ranger and tracker, as well as a private game drive vehicle, guests set their own game drive times.

The focus is on stylish comfort, coupled with genuine hospitality from the personal chef and butler. An interactive kitchen prepares communal meals shared with special people around a spacious table or savored as a delectable picnic on an extended game drive.

Open viewing decks look out onto magnificent bush views, while the sparkling swimming pool is surrounded by loungers with plump cushions. Rangers at Phinda impart an incomparable wealth of knowledge, personally researched and experienced, about local habitats, ecology, birds, trees, plants, small animals and insects. Many rangers and trackers belong to the surrounding communities and can share cultural information with visitors.

Homestead Lodge offers sole-use safari villa for families or groups with a private open 4x4 safari vehicle at your convenience. They provide a dedicated ranger/host, tracker, butler and chef. A completely customizable daily schedule Ideal for families makes this exclusive use safari lodge ideal. There are seven habitats that allow for a much greater diversity in species and landscapes. Wildlife includes cheetah, black rhino and nyala. Variety of adventures available.
